quote
In the middle of the magnificent mountain world of the Arlberg region, close to the sky at 1,800 m, lies the legendary Arlberg Hospiz Hotel. The pink-coloured walls, which no doubt tell many tells, have stood here for already 616 years...

15th Lecher Malwoche 12th - 19th of July 2008
5th Lecher Bildhauertage 4th - 8th of August 2008

The Lecher Malwoche and the Lecher Bildhauertage are art seminars staged as part of the "Kunstsommer 2008" ("Summer of Art 2008") event. They offer theoretical and practical insights into the contemporary creative arts. The seminars are aimed at people with an interest in art and at practising artists. Key thematic focuses ensure sound coverage and an in-depth approach to understanding contemporary art. The aim of the two seminars is to develop a language for independent artistic expression. A willingness to be open to and engage with contemporary approaches to the creative arts is more important than having prior knowledge in the field.

"Painting in the mountains" seminar on watercolours, in Lech am Arlberg with Mag. Edda Mally

Dates:
12 - 19. July 2008

For some years now, the summers have seen Lech am Arlberg play host toa special seminar on painting dedicated to the stunning countryside of this area. It offers you a chance to paint those reminders of a "quite different holiday" yourself, and show friends and loved ones back home the things which proved your inspiration.
Here you will enjoy a praticularly intensive experience of these mountains: for you are the artist - because everyone hat that ability in them, even as a beginner. Capture the play of light and shadow on meadows, forests and rock, using watercolours on paper. The only thing needed is the desire to paint - the technique required is developed through practice. Edda Mally, a highly experienced course tutor, is on hand to offer any advice.
