Florian Werner was born in St. Gallen (Switzerland). He attended school in St. Anton, Arlberg, then spent 5 years in the WSH Felbertal (Salzburg land) and 5 years at the hotel management school in Klessheim (Salzburg city). After a year of military service in Landeck (Tyrol) he decided to travel.
During his travels, he served as a chef in the Restaurant Real in Vaduz, Liechtenstein; worked at the Four Ways Inn restaurant in Bermuda; attended summer school at Cornell; was a F&B management trainee at the Hotel Bel Air; and was a management trainee at the Hotel Peninsula Beverly Hills.
His last 12 months abroad was spent as assistant front office manager at the Hotel Peninsula in Hong Kong. In the summer of 1993.
Florian Werner joined his family's company. In 1997, he took over as managing director from his father, Adi Werner, in the Arlberg Hospiz and in the Hospiz Alm along with his mother.
In the summer of 2000, his wife, Daniela Pfefferkorn, took over the managing director position from her mother in law, Gerda Werner, at the Arlberg Hospiz.
Florian Werner is a member of the St. Christoph Fraternity. He is a board member for the TV company St. Anton, of the Young Hotel and Catering Trade Tyrol and is on the supervisory board of the St. Anton tourism association.
In his leisure time, Florian Werner enjoys a lot of sports - including running in the summer and skiing, touring and running in winter. He also enjoys traveling abroad with his wife.
