Sport & Leisure in the Summer
Active Inclusive Card
Once the snow has melted, the days start to get longer and the woods and meadows turn into brilliant shades of green, Lech-Zürs also changes from a popular winter sports resort into a delightful summer holiday region.
Guests who spend just one night in Lech qualify for the "Active Inclusive Card", the free inclusive ticket for a wide range of leisure activities. With a varied programme for skaters, bikers and golfers, there is something for everyone, no matter what their preference is.
The Active Inclusive Card includes:

Spullersee and
Formarinsee lakes to the
Hochtannbergpass (excludes toll charge on toll roads)

Fishing
Whether it's fishing at the special lake in Zug or fly fishing while standing up
to your hips in the Lechbach - you simply have to try fishing once. This
sport has a fascination all of its own! Our smaller guests will have more fun at
the fishing lake where they'll always get a bite! The catch of the day can then
be eaten straight away!
Football
Our younger guests can even enjoy training from famous Bundesliga coaches on the
large football pitch in Lech! Find out more about these special weeks!
A training week takes place from
3rd - 8th of August 2008:
6th children's football training camp at the "1st karlsruhe football academy"
This is the sixth time that we have offerd this children's football training camp. The camp is supervised by licensed trainers and qualified sports teachers. The training camp follows a complete training plan devised by the football and sports coach Lothar Strehlau, with an emphasis on fun and working as part of a team .
At the end of the camp, all those taking part are given a certificate with the result of a "Football-Five-Seven-Ten Competition". Individual analysis and training tips to improve technique and coordination are given by the trainers.
Motto for the week:
Want to dribble like Frank Fibery, shoot like Luca Toni, convert free kicks like Sebastian Schweinsteiger and push out or stop shots like Oliver Kahn? Then you'll be in the right place when you come to Lothar Strehlau's 1st Karlsruhe Football Academy!
Costs: € 210.00 per child for the week
Golf
Amidst the beautiful mountain scenery of the Arlberg we have created a
carefully-designed 3-hole golf academy with driving range, putting green and
practice bunker. The golf centre is in the heart of Lech itself, next to the
Hotel Berghof. Here we offer beginners, advanced and expert golfers the
opportunity to practise and improve their swing.
Kids in Nature
We (that is to say our hotels and our resorts) offer children and young people
everything they need for great fun and ADVENTURE: climbing,
mountain biking, fishing, nature watching and adventure camps where you spend the
night under canvas and do your cooking over the campfire! You certainly won't be
bored here!

Lecher Bildhauertage 4th - 8th of August 2008
The Lecher
Malwoche and the Lecher Bildhauertage
are art seminars staged as part of the “Kunstsommer
2008” (“Summer of Art 2008”) event. They offer theoretical and practical insights into the
contemporary creative arts. The seminars are aimed at people with an interest
in art and at practising artists. Key thematic focuses ensure sound coverage of
basic principles in craftsmanship, accompanied by challenging artistic activity
and an in-depth approach to understanding contemporary art. The aim of the two
seminars is to develop a language for independent artistic expression. A
willingness to be open to and engage with contemporary approaches to the
creative arts is more important than having prior knowledge in the field.

mitteilen, was Sie bewegt hat.
erfahrene Kursleiterin, hilft Ihnen gerne dabei.

Mountainbike
Whether you're with an instructor or just heading off on your own to see the lie
of the land. The Arlberg offers long and enjoyable tours by mountain bike!
Bikes can be hired from the hotel!
Nordic Walking
The trendy sport from the far north: burn more calories, easy and quick to pick up, reduces the load on joints by up to 30%, and loosens up tense muscles. This optimal outdoor training for weight reduction is almost 50% more effective than walking without poles, gives a secure feeling of balance, improves cardiovascular performance and is the outdoor activity most optimally suited to rehabilitation after sports injuries.
Philosophicum
Yet another cultural highlight is when philosophers from all over the world meet
every September to discuss topical, contemporary themes - so come and see us and
philosophise with the cleverest and most well-read brains of Central Europe!
Horseback Riding
All the happiness in the world is to be found on horseback....
If you're horse mad, there's no need to
forego your favourite hobby while on holiday! Rides exploring the natural beauty
of the local area can be organised for you!
Swimming
Lech's "Forest Pool" offers bathing pleasure in a magnificent untouched scenery: laid out like a mountain lake with rock island, heated to 25° Celsius, giant water slide, large paddling pool, adventure playground, tennis courts, snack bar and romantic sunbathing area directly on the Lech River.
Floating Stage - Bregenzer Festspiele
The Arlberg and surrounding area offer cultural experiences in abundance!
Alongside the Salzburger Festspiele, the Bregenzer Festspiele are an absolute
MUST while you're in Austria! The programme at both the Seebühne and the
Konzerthaus is of the highest quality - musicals, opera, concerts, jazz - it's
definitely worth the trip - and we even organise your transport!
Tennis
The tennis courts in Lech and Zug can be used free of charge with your Aktice Inklusive Card. And of course, you can also book coaching sessions!
Hiking
The mountain is calling. So up, up and away we go! Through the beautiful
landscape the mountain draws us magnetically, ever higher towards its summit! On
our way, we'll encounter many marmots and perhaps even a few chamois and ibexes!
Then once we're at the top, we can look down on the tiny world below and
suddenly things that were so terribly important seem very small and
insignificant! Up where the eagle soars, we too are transported away from this
world for a short while!
Welltain
WELLness and mounTAINs as a basis for a new health consciousness. Lech am
Arlberg is the first place to offer an active-holiday-programme based on the
findings of the Austrian Moderate Altitude Study. Feel the power of the
mountains!
